Classic lps of Malvern

Morning all

 

I've been buying vinyl from Classic lps for a number of years now and their servioce is usually v.good.

 

But an order I made last week has not yet arrived despite me having been infomed that it was dispatched last Friday. I've tried contacting them but e-mails are rejected as their mail box is full (worrying), can't get an answer on the mobile number which defaults to a voicemail (worrying also) and their landline contact number is no longer recognised (extremely worrying!).

 

Any forum members aware of Classic having problems, or any experience of recent probs with them.

They have updated the Facebook page of Carnival Records (same business) today.

Have exactly the same problem. Money debited from my account but no goods and no reply to phone (dead) or email (inbox full)

Did you get the automated your goods have been despatched mail?

 

Followed Kevin's line and tried "Carnival2 but they haven't replied either!

 

Have now contacted the edistor of "Hi-fi news" who the proprietor of Classic lps writes reviews for suggesting that this is a bit rum. Might get a result that way?

A reply to a similar discussion on another forum said that the owners had a family bereavement. The OP there did get his vinyl belatedly.

Thanks for that and that is very sad and I now feel a bit naff..

 

It might have been politic, however, for the owner/staff to put a note to that effect on the site or, indeed, to stop the Company e-mail sending out automatic despatch notes.

Unfortunately as no reply was ever forthcoming from Classic lps I raised an action through my Credit Card co. who have now credited the amount to my account. I suspect from the letter I received from them that Classic lps were not responding to Credit Card company queries either.

 

Afraid I can only warn others to carefully consider before ordering from Classic lps of Malvern.

Just noticed that the Classic lps website has been suspended which doesn't look too good!
