Desktop client doesn't connect to unitilite

Posted by: skivspelare on 15 March 2013

Hi everyone,

I got some trouble establishing the streaming to unitilite with my netbook (Win 7).

"Sending" music to my unitilite wireless via windows media player works just fine, as well as picking songs stored on the netbook via media server with the uniti remote.

For me the media player is just disturbing, the uniti-screen is too small and streaming via itunes (which i usually use as player) seems to be impossible.

So I tried to use the naim desktop client, but the initial "scan for hard disc players" remains empty. I'm not able to detect my unitilite. Already enabled firewall etc. Any clue how to solve this problem?

Thanks,

Markus

Markus,

The desktop client only works with 'hard disc' players, i.e. the HDX and Unitiserve. The Unitilite is not a 'hard disc' player in Naim terms.

Thanks a lot, andy.

I thought this program is kind of an n-stream/serve-version for win-pc.

...so I have to find another solution instead of buying an ipad...

Have a nice weekend,
