Van Morrison has some of the best albums with some of the worst ever covers!

What were they thinking? I'd rather not know!!!

This may not be the worst looking, but the title fits the theme.

As we would say up here there are some toppers in amongst these.

There is a website devoted to worst album covers ever with some inexplicable but choice selections if you are interested in a feast of bad taste. G

Graham (Quad),

SACRILEDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Fleetwood Mac 'Mr Wonderful' cover does not deserve such denigration. Look at the other covers posted.

Disappointedly

Sorry Steve,

I was playing it last night when my partner looked at the cover and said "bloody hell, who is that freaky looking skinny bloke? What a rubbish cover!"

She pointed out she wouldn't buy it just on the scariness alone but despite her being bit musically stunted she loved the music!!

No offence intended G

Ewemon,

Thats one hell of an album collection you have there

The look on Louie the dummy's face (2nd album from end of list) males it a winner for me.

I recall we've looked at a few of these before, and nothing can top this one for me;

We've been here before, and I always post this one. So here it is again.

Err, what is it Winky?

Anyway, here's one of my faves, which I first saw in "Incredibly Strange Music" back in the 1980s:

Oh dear...

I own this, it's a really, really good album but the cover's terrible:

This one from '83's quite a collectable among connoisseurs of the naff:

Kevin,

Hard  to believe such an album exists, even harder to imaging anyone buying it.

Just reading the track list makes you cringe !

I know someone with a huge collection of weird LPs, I wonder if he has it... I shall enquire...

This often features in "worst album covers of all time" polls. Actually, I think it's absolute genius:

The music's even worse than the cover I think Tony. Not a good decade, the 1980s, either for fashion or music.

Charlie nearly got it right by wearing the same colour as the background!

I had the misfortune to see this band live at The Albert Hall on the same bill as Judas Priest and The Scorpions. They shouldn't have even been in the same city...

The track 'Don't Give Me No Goose For Christmas, Grandma also features on this LP from the seminal Canadian blues band who were quite popular in the UK in the late '60s/early'70s. 'Stink' is a very good album.

This must qualify as one of the plainest LP covers.

As winky said, we've been here before but it's always a pleasure to meet the handsome -- or is it gorgeous ? -- David Allen again:

He's pretty in pink too:

Not forgetting his pal Makoto Kawabata on the back cover:

(Mind you, the music is really great.)
