Upgrading DAC board in unitiQute

Posted by: DomTomLondon on 21 March 2013

Hi guys, Sorry if this has been covered on the forum already.

I have the original UnitiQute that can play 24/96 Flac and Wav files.
With more and more music available in 24/192 and the ability to use AIFF and ALAC files (more convenient as a Mac user) I'm interested in upgrading the DAC board in my Qute. (I've no problem in installing it myself)
Has anyone else done this and where did you get the new 24/192 board. Did you go directly to naim or through a dealer? How much does the board cost?

Or is it worth waiting to see if naim will come out with a new DAC board upgrade that will also support DSD audio files. (A few of the new DACs from Chord, Teac and Benchmark are already DSD compatible)

Its the streaming board that needs upgrading as the DAC already supports 24/192.  You'll need to contact your dealer I believe.

Thanks Eloise, yes that's the one, the streamer board.
