Repair or just a check up? I know Naim's amps & PSUs are advised to be serviced after x number of years but wouldn't imagine the AV2 falls into that category.
From the FAQ - could save you a trip to your dealers:
Current AV product (AV2, DVD5 and n-Vi) revisions are shown below:-
(Revised 27th October 2008)
Note:- Please contact your dealer concerning applying any updates.
AV2:- Obtained by pressing and holding OSD button on remote control for 5 seconds. Front panel will display the below string(s) sequentially for latest firmware
AVC0107 (naim PIC revision)
F658 (control DSP revision)
AV2 Firmware status: Last updated 1st June 06
Note:-
-AV2P209, AVC0101 -> AVC0106 can be updated via RS232 by your dealer
-AV2P1xx and AV2P208 cannot be updated via RS232 and will require a new PIC chip to be fitted
(This has to be done either by your dealer or at Naim HQ).
(F413 and F421 DSP firmware should be updated to F658 if used in conjunction with DVD5)
I had mine done a couple of years back and got a printed report for proof.
