Arrived today in the post:
Still my favorite interpretation.
Found this in mint condition, so bought again.
New Order's Power Corruption and Lies from HMV - the pressing is so bad I feel like returning it.
Kevin-W posted:Very nice UK first press I picked up today for just £8. I am to looking to supplement the US Capitols I have with UK pressings, as they all seem to sound better. All her LPs are revorded very well, but the UK pressings are just more enjoyable and engaging than the US ones.
I didn't know Nigella Lawson sang.

I'd encourage you to return it. State the reasons why you're dissatisfied so the manufacturer has direct feedback on how to improve their products. Could only help the industry. I personally feel there is too much emphasis on vinyl weight as some arbitrary measure of pressing quality.
Amazing quality vinyl

Fred
Those Rhino pressings are dire - the mastering is crap as well. You should return it (I bought some Rhino Doors LPs and had to return those, they were so noisy). PC&L is a superb-sounding album and deserves better than the treatment Warners have inflicted upon it over the years.
You'd be better off buying a UK Factory (Fact 75) pressing, they are stunning. Even a first press isn't that hard to come by - or pricey.

Very good! Now you mention it, there is a bit of a resemblance...
I have just got back from a weekend in Brighton, bearing a large amount of second hand vinyl booty. Highlight was undoubtedly this UK first press mono of the first Doors album - just £49, in very good condition.
More of the Brighton vinyl haul. A US first press. What a fantastic cover!
UK Reprise first press, lovely condition, with inner bag and insert present and correct.
UK first press - mint nick. More from the Brighton booty:
A very nice early 1970s pressing:
More from the South Coast jaunt - 1971 UK Atlantic first press:

I bought this one recently from a house clearout, the vinyl is immaculate and sounds like it was a great show!
More secondhand booty acquired over the weekend. The UK version of The Delta Sweete LP.
The UK version of the Glen Campbell & Bobbie Gentry album, with an extra track. Last LP I bought in Brighton:
New release to be delivered March 25th hopefully.
Cleaned and ready to play...
Newly purchased from Diverse. A Plure Pleasure label reissue:
Broadcast and The Focus Group. Another new vinyl buy from Diverse:
Hard to believe this recording is from 1958. This is the 2016 reissue.
Superb!!!
