What was the last vinyl you bought?

Arrived today in the post:
Mobley's 2nd Message.
Unfortunately Music Matters do not offer this reissue ( I wish they'd give an "MM treatment"to Prestige titles ) but I wanted to hear this early 'I Should Care' with Walter Bishop's lovely piano intro on a record.
This two excellent Blues-pieces from Ruf-records, sounds rather good in 33:
But - sound like "rubbish" against the new release of "So" from Peter Gabriel in "Half-speed Master" double 180gr. / 45RPM:
It simply blows away the original-press from 1986...

I had a hankering for the title tune Générique.
I can't find who pressed this reissue but there is a DMM sticker on the back. At least It is flat and quiet, but I know it's missing a lot of instrumental colours. That said, this is a tune put me in a terrible melancholia.
Looking at the line up, I didn't realise Pierre Michelot was on the bass. ( a terrific French bass player who was on Dextor Gordon's 'Our Man in Paris' )
There are quite a few good options for this album out there, and one coming up soon:
- Jazz Track, Legacy USA reissue cut by Kevin Gray in Mono (featuring the original soundtrack on one of the sides, with added reverb just like on the film itself)
- Ascenseur Pour L'Échafaud - Complete Original Recordings, Speakers Corner reissue with gatefold sleeve and featuring the complete original recording session, without reverb.
- I think Sam Records from France is about to reissue the original 10" disc (as it was originally released in France), saw something about it online can't remember where... not sure about the mix but probably it's the reverb version.
They're all good, I have them (except for the upcoming Sam Records 10") because I wanted both mixes and I really like this music

Isn't this coming (or already out) from Analogue Productions? They have an amazing Prestige series, both Mono and Stereo
VG,
The one I've ordered is the Analogue Productions' Prestige Mono series. I've got their first Mobley's Message but judging from the sound quality of many AP's Mono vinyl ( certainly I can't claim they are *amazing* ) , I expect it will not match the clarity and dynamics of Music Matters reissues.
This just goes to show you that many things other than having a talented engineer influence the outcome.

Thanks for that.
Is this the Kevin Gray mastered US reissue?
It would be interesting to listen to this. Since this was originally recorded in France, I doubt Columbia obtained the original master tape ( I'd assume they used copy ) even for the original 12" release.
Speakers Corner reissue is interesting, too for many out takes. ( altho, they might get too repetitive )
How's the mix without the reverb? I can't imagine without it, as it adds a certain mood to the tunes.
btw, who's 'Sam Records'? I have never heard of this label before.

Actually saw the movie about a week before I bought the disk. Probably wouldn't have bought it if I had not seen the movie.
Haven't listened to this for a while. Great album and SRV on fire!
