Arrived today in the post:
I discovered Loscil this week & made my first vinyl purchase
This ambient, low level listening is proving addictive to my ears

Paul Weller - Heavy Soul
Sarah Davachi - Barons Court

While the record employs a number of vintage and legendary synthesizers, including Buchla’s 200 and Music Easel, an EMS Synthi, and Sequential Circuits' Prophet 5, Davachi’s approach to her craft here is much more in line with the longform textural minimalism of Eliane Radigue than it is with the hyper-dense modular pyrotechnics of the majority of her synthesist contemporaries. Three of the album’s five compositions feature acoustic instrumentation (cello, flute, harmonium, oboe, and viola, played by Davachi and others) which is situated alongside a battery of keyboards and synths and emphasizes the composerly aspect of her work.
Picked this up at Bristol Show

Finally picked this up and ran it through the RCM. I'm listening now and its the hardest, flattest, quietest...blackest...most delicate sounding vinyl I've heard possibly. Best quality of all the PF vinyl I've got this year, which is about half a dozen.

Do. you know the two other lp's? Great!!!!!
Christoph,
I have not explored his other two albums.
Springsteen. The Album Collection. Vol 1. Springsteen's first seven albums remastered on 180 g vinyl. This was released about a year and a half ago for $270. I just ordered it on Amazon for $107. I've got early pressing of all these LPs but was intrigued by the Plangent process used in the remastering and wanted to hear what it had to offer. So I bought a remastered LP of The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle to compare to the original. The remastered LP is an excellent pressing with a new clarity to the mix. Less muddy and better resolution. Instruments more to the fore. I was impressed enough by that trial to buy the entire set at the bargain price. Plus Bob Ludwig did the remastering and his work always seems to hit the mark for me.
45rpm double LP
Got to thank Debs for this one!
