Do please let us know what you think of it Debs. I bought the CD version on the advice of the forum. I love the music, but recording quality makes it a tough listen on digital. I’d be very interested to know if the Vinyl makes a better job of it.

Kevin,
i'm too much a skinflint to buy into Amazon Prime, so have to wait a few days for delivery...
Meanwhile it may not stay at the £34.99 price for long.
You'd be wise to buy it quick in case the price goes up, which could happen. It's fulfilled by Amazon so if you're unhappy with it there is the option of a fairly straightforward return.
Debs
Miles Davis +19 Gil Evans Orchestra - Miles Ahead - 1966 vinyl reissue on CBS.
Miles Davis - Miles Davis at Carnegie - 1962 1st U.K Press Mono on CBS.
Apparently a bit of a mix up in the recording of this live LP and so the SQ is supposedly inferior to some of his other live recordings of the time. The performance though is supposed to be superb.
Miles Davis - ESP - Columbia two eye US 1st press.
Miles Davis - Live at the Plugged Nickel Vol 2 - Japanese CBS/Sony 2nd press
cannot get enough of this guy at the moment especially the 1960’s live shows.

You may find them difficult to get on vinyl but these are two of my absolute favourite LPs
These two are excellent as well
Friday & Saturday Night At The Blackhawk 1961

Thanks AL9315
I’ll definitely look out for the Coltrane and Stitt live LP’s I do already have an original copy of the Blackhawk concerts and really, really like them. great recommendations thanks again.
Richard Dane posted:Joan Armatrading - Practical Hifi Nimbus Supercut.
I love this album and the originals sound very good, but I'd heard that this was a really exceptional reissue. So when a really nice copy came up at the right price I couldn't resist. And yes, it's very, very good indeed. A step up even on the original and of course, a near perfect pressing.
Aah Richard after seeing your post I found a decent original copy for £2.50 in a second hand record shop in Ludlow. It sounds pretty good and it’s a got some great songs on it.
Prem.
Prem, check the deadwax. If it has the TML stamp (The Mastering Lab) you got very lucky indeed...

Hi Richard, just checked. Looks like I didn’t get that lucky. Can’t see TML anywhere. Both sides end a1 and b1. On the plus side it’s a very clean copy and plays really well. I will keep an eye out for a clean copy with TML in deadwax. It’s a super album .
Prem.
The TML stamp pressing is one of the best. Arguably, only the Nimbus Supercut is better, but that's rather more expensive...
Along with Joan Armatrading I also picked up a nice original of Green by Steve Hillage.
Great album really enjoyed it.
Paul McCartney & Wings - Red Rose Speedway. Japanese Vinyl.
I never got around to buying this album when scouring secondhand record shops as a teen, so finally decided to give it a whirl. I could have bought the HD download version, but as most of my Wings albums are original UK or Japanese vinyl pressings, I thought it would be rude not to add it to the set of old Wings records! Bagged off that auction site for £13.
John McLean - Bowled Over - UK 1st press on Ariwa Records 1989.
A present for my better half luckily she has good taste.
new Gorillaz album - I am a fan of this force of nature, never dull, I love Plastic Beach so lets see
Buffalo Springfield - What's That Sound? The Complete Albums Collection.
Supposedly nicely done. A thumbs up from Mr Fremer for this set. Just arrived here from the US so, we shall see...
It’s on red vinyl, looks good and sounds superb
I was surprised by how great this recent acquisition was! Louis Armstrong & Duke Ellington: The Great Summit. I think it's a Waxtime pressing, but it still sounds pretty good.
2015 mono reissue. I have somehow managed to misfile my copy of this somewhere in the cabinet, and have failed miserably to find it, so this arrived today. I'm prepared to bet that the next time I pull out an album it'll come out stuck to the missing copy.
One of the greatest albums of the amazing run he produced in the first 10 years of his career.

Thanks again for the heads up on this Debs. I followed you in on a purchase and was listening earlier to set one. Amazing Live recording of a great band in their prime. The Vinyl sounds so much better than the CD’s.
Cheers, Kevin
