 Hi Kuma,

I see your love for Spilt Milk goes back to 31 March 2004 and beyond...

Are any other Jellyfish fans going to stick their head out of the water?

Posted on: 06 January 2012 by kuma

Denis,

Yes I have been a fan of Jellyfish for a long time. I have their first album in vinyl but Spilt Milk has been extremely difficult to locate in one. I am curious to hear this new reissue from this new record label ( Omnivor Recordings )

If they did it right, this album should sound phenomenal in vinyl as CD release sounds pretty good already.

Yes it's great and sounds excellent. I got mine from The States to make sure of original artist/country , so can only comment on USA pressing.

count.d,

I bought my copy from the USA as did a friend for the same reasons as yourself.

We have detected very slight 'wow' on our copies. Perhaps the hole isn't dead centre or there's some other pitch issue.

Beck - Sea Change. 2lp album on the original USA Geffen label 2002. Superb!

Just received this US 45rpm Impulse Acoustec remaster along with Cannonball Adderley 'Somethin Else', also 45rpm, and Miles Davis 'Kind of Blue' on Classic Records. The 45rpm remasters are just stupendous. Our friends across the pond are so fortunate. Over here you can occasionally pick up the odd 45 remaster but if you go on the Acoustic Sounds website they have over 500. My son brought these back for me and my daughter is going out in February. I will order more and hopefully the Doors issues will be available, they can be pre ordered now.

Steve, as far as I am concerned, these 45rpms from Acoustec and the Music Matters series are as good as vinyl gets by quite a margin. I have been collecting them for a while and now have over fifty of these albums my collection. I usually get them from Acoustic Sounds but bought my last batch from Diverse Vinyl...

Both are cheaper here (damn it) http://www.svartrecords.com/shoppe/

I've been waiting for these for the last 9 months. I really should start a thread about this amazing dutch band, as I have bought virtually every release from them since the spring of 2011. They completly passed me by in the 90's and beyond, but I'm glad I found them. More to follow...

Music on Vinyl 180g version.

Posted on: 21 January 2012 by osprey

Today's purchases include two items from latter part of 70's. Classics in away although representing totally different genres.

Firstly, punk related

Secondly, Freak of the Week

Bought from the other of the recordshops just around the corner. I am glad to have these two stores in my neighborhood. What would be better Saturday afternoon activity than browse vinyl records manually in a real shop.

In the charity shops i usually only come across James Last, Mantovani and those Top of the Pop's LP's with the girly covers.
