What was the last vinyl you bought?
Posted by: apye! on 18 January 2011
Arrived today in the post:
Quality is pretty good Graham. Good flat, well centred, silent pressing. As usual there is static on removing from the sleeve but this was sorted with a spin on the RCM. Lovely music. SQ of this issue is about 4/5 compared to an original issue but the original is a bit worn and noisier. An enjoyable listen. Good value for less than £15. Thanks go again to Stu for the heads up on this.

Analogue Productions 45RPM AcousTech vinyl reissue.
An LP my son kindly brought back for his Dad from the US.
I have a '70s pressing of this fabulous blues album and the SQ of this analogue remaster is so much better. Delmark recordings were never of the highest quality but you would never believe it with this album. On my earlier pressing the harmonica could sound a little shut in but it opens out on this record. These 45RPM albums cost more than single LP reissues, about £32 (in the US), and I am very careful about which albums I purchase in this format but I'm pleased with this.
I will post a more detailed review on the other thread when I've had a few plays.
Steve
Is this any good?
Acoustic Sounds 45RPM. Another brought back from the US by my son. This was a recommendation from Peter Swain and a good one it is too. Beautiful music and superb SQ. It's quite a long record with each side averaging about 12 minutes.
Todays arrivals from the Naim Label vinyl sales! : )
New Back To Black Universal Reissue. Good quality. Recommended.
I bought that one too on my weekend vinyl spend up. Only 2.000 pressed so now we know 1,998 to go......
Well at lest we know where 3 copy's are. Mine came in the post this morning . Not had chance to listen yet. Interested what you guys think.

This is on the same 'Back To Black' label pressing as the new Sandy Denny record,

Debs
Hi Debs,
I played the Animalism FLAC download on my phone earlier and thought that the Synths & Guitars would sound really good on the full rig. If you want to try something different, then look at the last CD I bought by TILT Brass. That will also give the system a work out.

I've never heard any Steven Wilson before but a customer bought this in yesterday for a demo so I couldn't resist picking a copy up for myself, fantastic sounding vinyl, also bought the 24 bit and Blu Ray as the 5.1 mix is supposed to be excellent.
