Connecting hdx to nserve on iPhone and iPad

Hi. My new hdx works well and has an IP address and Internet radio. But I have tried everything possible but no luck getting my n serve App version 2.5 to connect to the hdx I can't manually input the IP address into iPad or I phone. Any ideas?

Also I ripped a bunch of CDs offline which were not recognised by the local database. I would love for these to be refreshed in terms of the actual cd details and cover Art even using the remote control. Any ideas on how to do this? Many thanks

so the simple things first.

what is your router?

is your ipad etc connected via wireless to the same subnet of your home network?

is the ndx on a fixed ip?

Thanks. It's an apple airplay router. Yes to the other questions on being on the same sub net etc. and the hdx is able to access the Internet and has an IP address. The naim app isn't allowing me to enter the IP address manually on the iPad or iPhone so am trying the auto connection route and it keeps saying no server found etc. thanks again for your help.

Dump the airpay router and buy a better one, such as dreytek

The apple airport extreme, which i guess is what he means if a fully capable router, expensive but capable.
