Would the Naim DAC be able to play music and spotify from an iPhone 5 using USB?

It should. The DAC will use the digital output and from what I read the only thing missing from the new connection is the analogue signal.
To be sure you could walk into a store and try with any microset that supports iPhones digitally.

I have the superuniti and iPhone 5 it plays . For spotify you plus It to USB , run music, then switch to spotify. It works

I'm playing spotify through my iphone 5 into the ndac this very minute, quality does vary.

Ok, thanks for your replies. I just had the opportunity to do a home demo of the ndac. Today I placed an order incl. DC1 coax->BNC. Looking forward to my (final) upgrade from Muscial Fidelity DAC.
