For the benefit of a sceptical partner: top reasons for buying a Mac Mini!

Posted by: Honeyquince on 11 May 2013

As someone who has had a taste of streaming my CD collection through a vortexbox (that died) & SBT I am totally sold on the idea of purchasing a Mac Mini that will ultimately be matched with an NDac. However my partner is, might I say, less than convinced and sees it as a waste of money. Who can blame her when my CD's are four foot away from my listening seat and ten feet away from the CD player (a lowly and slow Sony DVD player). Still I am where I am. So, what would be your top persuasive reasons why the mac Mini is in fact an essential purchase.

Cheers, Robert

Getting the NDAC will be the hard part.

Funnily enough I'm hoping that the ndac will be fairly straight forward as I'll be paying off the mortgage that she pays for at the moment and the 'little' treat for me will be the ndac. That's happening later in the year but was hoping to get the mac a little sooner. Replacement for the vortexbox - yes I think this is the line that I'll take, mentioning that I just want to get the streaming up and running again.
