Why the 9/11 Controlled Demolition Conspiracy Theory is just rubbish.

Posted by: Tarquin Maynard - Portly on 13 May 2013

Various claims have been made, probably while drunk and for a laugh, but some people honestly seem to believe that the WTC wasn't brought down by fires caused by aircraft impact, but by pre-planted explosives.

Now, there are various minor impediments to this lunatic theory - the absence of any audible explosions; the fact that these explosives would have had to have been smuggled past very tight security at the WTC; that everyone concerned in the plot has remained totally silent; that the buildings collapsed from the top...

But anyway. Despite some long film being made about it, here are comprehensive rebuttals to the nutjobs.

You've read them ( actually, they're not "my" rebuttals, but credible scientific and annotated comment that demolishes the nutjob conspiracy theories) and have realised that you don't have a leg to stand on

Shall I summon the Emergency Services to deal with the combustion incident emenating from your underwear?

More nutjobs or qualified military and civilian commercial pilots? Don, has an 'O' level in flying so I am sure he knows the answer.

John Lear – Retired commercial airline pilot with over 19,000+ total hours flown in over 100 different types of planes for 10 different airlines in 60 different countries around the world.  Flew for over 40 years.  Holds every certificate ever offered by the FAA and has 23 different FAA type ratings.  Held 17 world records including speed around the world in a Lear Jet Model 24, set in 1966.  He was presented with the PATCO award for outstanding airmanship in 1968, and the Symons Wave memorial.  Flight experience includes Boeing 707 and 727, McDonnell Douglas DC-8, Lockheed L-1011 and many others.  Son of Bill Lear, founder of Lear Jet Corp.

This man sounds like a total nutjob - who does he think he is?

ohn Lear:  Maybe if I had a couple tries to line up a few building, I could have done it.  But certainly not the first time and certainly not at 500 or 600 miles an hour.

Rob Balsamo:  Yeah, as a matter of fact, one of our members, he was a 737 Check Airman.  He was in the sim at the time on September 11 and right after it happened they tried to duplicate it in the simulator and they said they couldn't do it.  They were trying to hit the Towers and they couldn't do it. ...

John Lear:  Yeah, it would be an amazing feat of airmanship. ...personally I think there is only one man in the world who could have pulled it off - Don Atkinson from the UK  (Oh my God the plot thickens)

I'm sorry. I'm not sure I understand ?
Are you suggesting that  no planes crashed into the towers?
Or are you suggesting that other people are based on this theory of controlled demo?
Or is this one in the same?

Of course the planes were flown into the tower, I don't think anyone outside of a mental institution would say otherwise. However, many qualified pilots say the planes could not have been flown by a couple of unqualified inexperienced pilots.

The towers were designed to withstand an plane hitting them and aviation fuel does not burn hot enough to melt the steel which collapsed the columns.  Nano-thermite does burn hot enough and traces of it were found in the rubble..etc.. etc

Here are some US Generals who are on my side (of course they are not NCOs in the British Territorial Army so they don't know as much as TMP but they have to be worth a listen or am I clutching at straws?)

Not for anyone in particular.....
If I can assume a huge jet blew a hole through multiple floors of a building that was held upright by xx number of structural beams.....I can probably assume same jet took out x number of beams when it came in to the building....this in itself would make me think the damage to the structural integrity was great enough to put it all on the edge.
Just one nudge and it goes down....
Add the heat, which at least may weaken the steel, the changes in aerodynamics possibly twisting the failing structure......who knows? Just the shear weight above those floors pushing down on a weakened structure could/may tip the scales.
Just an arm chair shot...
I will not defend these words in any way.. just thinking out loud.

Marc,

What you say is not unreasonable. However, a great many experts in structural design and architecture say that there is evidence that your, not unreasonable, theory does not hold up to detailed expert analysis. Of course, as TMP is at pains to point out, not all architects and structural engineers etc. agree but they tend to work for government funded institutions.

Good to see you've stopped saying that the WTC was built to withstand "multiple 747 hits". You've realised that they DID withstand the hits.

Nobody has said that the fires melted the steel, by the way. And no credible traces of thermite where found. Its detailed in the rebuttals you've not read.

''My own calculation showed that the buildings fell more quickly than possible considering momentum exchange in pancaking from floor to floor.

Then I heard that Don Atkinson in the UK said the WTC collapsed in the same way that some old cooling towers collapsed and I realised I was a nutjob and I've been on medication ever since"

Here's a thought, Sniper..

Instead of posting your own self-serving links, why not critique the rebuttals that are the subject of this thread?

It really would help if you stopped the ad-hom, and refrained from saying daft things like "Don has an O-level in flying"

It just underlines your desperation.

Show me where I have said that the WTC was built to withstand "multiple 747 hits' and I will donate $10,000 to the charity of your choice. Alternatively just apologise for trying to mislead the unwary and for being a twit (note I have not spelt twit correctly - there should be an 'a' in there somewhere)

Obviously they are not as bright as you TMP. If only they had read your list of rebuttals they would not look like a bunch of nutjobs.

Even with my background in medical hypnosis, it took me more than 3 years to wake up to the flaws in the official story, which in retrospect, are rather obvious."

No doubt Don will spot that with a name like 'Burk' this man must be a fruitcake.

Sorry, I'm not an ex British Territorial Army NCO. You seem to be confused in that - at least you're consistent.

You've still not said anything about the comprehensive rebuttals listed above. I wonder why.

I've spent a fair bit of the last week politely dealing with your crackpot theories. You've simply spouted your deluded rubbish, and included quite a bit of ad-hom, most of which is misguided.

If you seriously believe that the WTC was brought down by speshul silent, residue-free explosives that where magically smuggled in and detonated at the same time as an aircraft flew into the building (impossible, except it happened) then you are simply stupid.

Myopic. Idiotic. Lacking something in your life.

Send my regards to Elvis, wee man.
