SWMBO and ducks

I'm leaving my 'car vandalism' thread strictly to its own devices now that the damage has been repaired. Never expected it to head off into its current direction. So ...
SWMBO is outside ATM chasing off ducks/ducklings from our front lawn. They started appearing a on a neighbour's lawn a week or so ago. I assume they are from the village pond or the artificial lake near Barton Marina (canal barges etc).
I think they would have stayed away, but somebody decided to feed them! So, of course they keep coming back. She says it's because she doesn't want duck crap all over the lawn.
SWMBO came in here a minute ago, but the duck's have now moved to our back lawn and are eating the stale bread, bacon rind etc she's put out for the other birds. Apparently this is now 'MY FAULT', tho' I'm not sure how she reached that conclusion.
Female 'logic' at work again. Me? as far as I'm concerned I couldn't care less whether the ducks are there or not - although the ducklings are rather cute. 
I have a suspicion that she was annoyed because I had pointed out her lack of consistency. After all, she seems to have no problem with the seagulls raiding our back garden for the scraps she pus out. Incidentally, why so we still call them seagulls? We live about as far from the sea as it is possible to get in England! The gulls live near the village pond.
P.S. I also laughed when I said she was being hypocritical. BIG MISTAKE!
