thought it was time i posted a new thread. here are some interesting old photos, that show some iconic moments, or are simply thought provoking. This is not intended to compete with the nice photo thread, and is not listed for its high quality images, just a series of old and interesting images.
Hippo cart in 1924. The hippo belonged to a circus and apparently enjoyed pulling the cart as a trick

Suntan vending machine, 1949
Annie Edison Taylor (1838-1921), the first person to survive going over Niagara Falls in a barrel. She did it in 1901 because she needed money, and after doing it said she wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

Hi Cbr 600 you want to try sony jb 940 mds it as a dac in it, and play off iradio sounds superb pick your own music for nothing, I believe sony dropped mds be cause their cd sales dropped

One detail in the above I really like is the talcum powder. I can remember back to the late '60s when everyone used talcum powder.

I love this shot.
I think that we all have the guilty pleasure of Voyeurism. Some say this is a perverted sexuality.
Hitchcock used this in many of his films.
Rear Window/Psycho are notable ones where the central male leads watching other people's lives without being noticed.
As for talcum powder in the bath shot, it's still being used with grommets under the hood of many LP12s.
