With elf n safety this would never be allowed in England,but do a Google search on these 2 items.

My knees would turn to jelly. I'm bad enough working on top of a helicopter or coming down a ladder from a flat roof!

Falling from height isn't such a worry, real concern is sudden deceleration caused by close proximity of a large mass.
