Now had my Unitiqute 2 for 3 weeks.
Has resulted in music once again taking over from the TV. I didn't think my previous set up of Squeezebox Touch into a Cyrus Power amp was too shabby, but this is in a different league, am loving listening to music again, rather than just having it on in the background.
Some down sides:
1. Had to re-rip all my CD's in FLAC format as I had originally ripped many 10 years ago when space on hard drives cost, at 128KBs
This then gave me another great idea....
2. Get all my vinyl out of storage, buy a turntable and an ADC and rip all the vinyl I can't get on CD or HQ download, that took the best part of two weeks, with wife moaning that "I don't spend any time with her". It was feeling like one of those jobs you wished you hadn't started. But now completed.
Whilst some may be thinking why didn't I just play the vinyl, two reasons, my wife doesn't like vinyl or CD's on show and the cat loves jumping on the turntable.
Some suggestions for Naim..
1. Have the option of the front display having double height letters so if my iPad or iPhone run out of charge I can still see what the track is from a distance.
2. Have a facility for the volume to be muted if you accidentally pull out the headphone lead.
I am currently using a pair of Lektor Dali 1 speakers, but am now thinking of upgrading, has anyone used the Q Acoustics Concept 20's with a Unitiqute?

Forgive me, fellow Qute advocate but in terms of your suggestions:
1) Shouldn't this be at Apple to do a better battery
2) Turn the amplifier volume down before you plug the headphones in. I'm not sure a black box is ever going to be able to work out if the lead was removed deliberately or accidentally without some very sophisticated sensor array around the socket to detect angles and relative forces.
As regards speaker upgrade I'd save up for something substantially better than the Dalis. The Qute will comfortably partner speakers well above its own price point.

I like the 'large print' idea (maybe market it as the UnitiQute 50+) I don't own or ever have owned ANYthing by Apple. There's a thread about UnitiLite & speakers currently ongoing, worth reading (if only for my contribution
)

I find the battery life on the Apple devices, but only good if you remember to charge them.
With the headphone suggestion why not automatically turn down the volume by 20db when you remove the jack?

As the outputs are independent, if you have the speakers set to a sensible level before headphone listening, all that will happen on pulling out the jack is the main amp volume level being restored to it's previous level, not the h/phones level.

Many thanks for your reply, I hadn't realised the settings were separate, Naim made it so easy to use so I didn't have to open the manual.
And I think the other suggestion about the Unitiqute 50+ was good, though I am sure I have seen children with glasses so its not limited to the over fifties, they would be limiting their market..

No problem, I hope you also spotted that each input can be trimmed for gain, which stops you being blasted by the DVD player (for instance) that plays a lot louder than the Sky box or iRadio
As for the suggestion of bigger characters I'm with you, and I believe Naim can probably come up with some marketing terms better than mine!
