A Quick Qute History Please.

Hi

Have UnitiQute's always had 24/96 and Dab ?

A quick history lesson needed about the difference between early one's and the last of the Mark 1's.

Many thanks.

The Qute was launched in 2010 with 24b/96kHz streaming capability, the tuner was FM/Dab/iRadio which as far as I know is the same as in current model.

I think it was in 2011 when the streaming boards were upgraded to the current 24/192 version.

The Qute was updated to the 24/192 boards in late 2011. The upgrade boards weren't avail;able in the U.S. until end of 1st quarter 2012. I know that because I had one and by the time I could get the upgrade I had acquired a 202 and decided to trade my Qute in for a ND5 XS instead of upgrading it.

Of course, the latest Qute2 can now cope with 32/192 files (but where would you buy one of those?) and they now have DAB+.

Frank.

I suspect this was done so all network players could use the same network card - rather than any explicit reason to make the UnitiQute better.
