Jonas,
Her "Night Visitor" was in my last but one package from Amazon. Not sure whether it was inspired by the Forum or Radio Paradise. Just done a Forum search and it seems that her talents have been recognised here before and indeed it seems she was on the Tom Tom 10th birthday bash playlist.
To my knowledge she have done 5 albums, cant choose which one whos is best, just get them all!
I have Separation Road somewhere in my at the moment rather disordered collection. I have hardly listende to it yet. See if I can find it...
I'd recommend "Leaving On Mayday" as one of her better performances. Great artist !
+1 for Leaving on Mayday although I quite like the others as well.
I came across another Swedish outfit a while back - First Aid Kit, at first I thought it was Anna's voice, haven't heard much - anyone checked them out?
Hi
+2 for the Anna albums, they are great. .... just browsed 'First Aid Kit'.....very interesting - ordered both albums...looking forward to getting them.
Ah, the joy of the Forum as yet more music is suggested. Like ameden I have gone on line and have spent the last half hour watching various tracks being performed by First Aid Kit. They obviously have quite a following as their single Emmylou from their latest album has had over 2 million hits.
The beauty of you tube is that it leads you onto other music and I am now listening to Thunder of Three Heavens from Sofia Jannok's latest album ÁHPI. Unfortunately I can only find it as an MP3 download. Do any Swedish members know if there is a physical CD available?

I looked at the biggest web shop in Sweden for cd/dvd: Ginza. They have her album. Just a few left so hurry up :-)
Whilst we are talking about new artists and Sweden I recently ordered the self title album by The State Cows - I know at least one of the lead members is Swedish (maybe both) but you wouldn't associate the sound with Sweden at all. They have some stuff up on You Tube and if you like Steely Dan then this should be for you

Thanks very much for that Jonas. I have just got in from work and sent them an e-mail to see if they sell to overseas customers.

Send me an email otherwise and I will buy it for you and you can transfer me the money, no problem.
I have the 5% rule when I buy new music: 5% of the albums will be played over and over again and the rest sometimes and thats ok with me. Annas albums are all in the 5% category.

Jonas,
Apologies for the delay in responding to your very kind offer of help but I have been away. Anyway the nice people at Ginza have replied to say that it is no problem to sell overseas and indeed my belated use of online translation services shows this to be the case. It seems that people in Sweden are just so helpful. Now I will just have to wait for the postman.
Thanks again

No problem, have fun!
Based on this thread I have bought a couple of her albums. They should drop on to the doormat tomorrow, so I will let you know what I think later.
I also highly recommend Hello Saferide (and First Aid Kit of course).
Neither should be missed. Top 5% all of them.
