Most under rated British band of all time.

Silly idea but interesting. I would put forward Man, an amazing band!

Any body agree or suggest others?

Loop always get over looked. Glad to see their albums re-released a few years back.

Re Echo and the bunnymen, the reason they got 'overlooked' compared to the cure, depeche mode and U2 is that they didn't put the hours in unlike the bands mentioned, they toured constantly during the 80's. Ian McCulloch has stated this in many interviews.

+1 Blodwyn Pig - great band - one of the first gigs I went to in the early '70's.

I would also nominate Taste

Groundhogs, Blodwyn Pig, Taste. When I was a teenager these groups weren't underrated by me or my mates. Great bands. I still play their LP's regularly.

Using a British Isles definition, I would add "Whipping Boy". Here is a fine and scathing lyric from their seminal work "They built portholes for Bono, so he could gaze Out across the bay and sing about mountains Maybe. You are what you own in this land"
