Damn Foxes: Please help!

Posted by: Tony2011 on 18 June 2013

I have just opened  my back door and there it is: the stench! The little devils climb neighbours  walls and fences and end up leaving their traces all over my back yard. I have contacted  Islington council and they said that there was "VERY LITTLE" they could do even though a cat ( sorry for the gruesome bit), has been found beheaded. Any ideas on how I can at least alleviate the situation?

Many thanks,

Tony

Your starter for ten is Google with the phrase  "London Fox Shooter"

There are sharp shooters for hire in London. So let us hear those shots ring out all over town.

I've heard this can be effective also. In addition if the earth rod for your separate system circuit is in the yard you can kill two birds with one stone in dry weather.

I had the same a few years ago.  The set with 4 youngsters were close by & was very nice watching them playing in the orchard & garden

It started to get messy when the cubs decided digging the veggie plot was fun

Then the pee smell started. I decided something was attracting them & with the waste bins close to the back door,  it seemed obvious what the problem was

I placed all the bins including the food waste bin in the garage, hosed down & disinfected the whole area & spayed it with one of those animal repelants, all that seemed to fix it. We still had them playing around the lower end of the gardens. In September the cubs left the set & that it we did not see, hear or smell a fox again.

Thanks for all the suggestions.  Shooting them is a little drastic as living near central London makes it a bit  dodgy. I think I am going to throw a mini beer festival this weekend and ask all my mates to pour their precious liquid into a barrel, or just pi55 all over the place.
