unitiqute 2

I'd do a search of the forums as there are quite a few threads that will be of interest!
Makes of speaker will include Guru, Totem, PMC, Neat, Dali, Dynaudio, Audiovector, Sonus faber, Spendor etc. (I use PMC DB1is).
You could give some idea of room size, position, listening levels and music genre to help
I have Linn Majik 109's with mine........Very happy with them
When I had a Qute I had Rega RS3, very nice
I tried a unityqute 2 on friday 21/6/13 I was really impressed, the shop put a pair of focal 705v and then 806vw limited edition. sounded great but would like to try some other speakers with one as I wasnt over keen on the focals,
im looking to spend around £800, but want bookshelf speakers on wall brackets the room is about 13ft by 10ft I listen to a wide variety of music so a good all rounder pair.
thanks for the advice
Keep it in the family IMO. n-Sats
UQ and n-Sats makes for a fabulously entertaining combo. Just make sure you use NACA5!
Gurus should be on the top of your demo list. Try to listen to Guru Juniors and you will be very, very, very surprised how good small speaker can be. Works really well with Qute. Bass and shear transparency, musicality of these speakers will make your feet tap.

n-Sats and DB1is have integral mountings for wall brackets, both are now officially discontinued but are still around if you look hard.
Focals are far too sensitive to placement to be considered seriously for your intended set-up, a sealed box or transmission-line design will be least fussy, not heard the Gurus in situ.
I had a UnitiQute 1 with a pair of Dynaudio Contour S1.4s. They work very well as long as you don't expect too much from them. They like lots of power if you have it, but sound great at low to moderately loud volumes with the Qute.
I ended up putting a 250 into the mix, and ultimately traded in the Qute, and thereafter got larger Contours and a sub and a 282 and so on.
I've got PMC DB1i's. They work really well. I had a pair of Dynaudio Excite X16's before that, but I think they were a little to hard to drive and never really came to life.
Ive got PMC 21 Speakers on dedicated PMC stands running of Qute, sounds superb. bought these thinking I will upgrade to SuperUniti, but love the sound so much may just buy a Nap100 to up Qutes power and leave it there.
Moved some PMC Twenty 23s from one room to the Qute1 and they've stayed there since. Now upgraded with NAP 100. The sound is darker, bigger and badder with the NAP 100 like it has been down the gym. I like my music to pump out of the speakers and this is now what is does. Hmmm. Sometimes you just have to stop everything and sit and listen, close your eyes and feel the goose bumps.
