No anti-Top Gear thread yet?

New series starts tonight, usual slot.
Avoid if you hate it, but don't ever criticise it for not being a serious car show. That's just plain silly.

Bring back William Woollard I say.

And bring back Chris Goffey too.

Bring Back Vicki Butler-Henderson xxx.

Bring Back Noel Edm...Oh hang on.

What's Top Gear? A show about high-quality drugs?

Posted on: 30 June 2013 by Tony2011

I don't see what's the problem with watching TG. It's just some old folks playing with expensive gear that they probably will never be able to afford themselves. Wait a minute...

Couldn't get Crowded House out of my head after Sunday's episode

Saw a couple of minutes, wrecking a hire car. How intelligent?  Great role models these guys.

Can't help feeling this show is well past it's sell by date, but then you only have to look all the other shit thats keeps going on the box.

I love UK Top Gear.  US Top Gear, not so much.  I am watching the Africa show on DVR as I write this.   It has been the one show on TV which we would watch as a family, with my wife and teen-age boys.    We have seen all the shows and all the re-runs.   These guys have too much fun, and I am sure they make a lot of money.   I don't know how it works with the BBC, but the US show could never support the expense that the UK show must incur with these African and European destinations.

If the US Public Broadcasting System turned out anything this interesting, instead of being just a vehicle for left wing documentaries and windbag media potentates, I would be a bigger fan.

Costs of the UK Top Gear program - the show is one of the highest revenue generating shows made by the BBC and is sold all over the world. So thank you for watching it in the US and helping to ensure that the Beeb gets the money

Well, that was another excellent, patriotic season finale.

Well done, Top Gear.
