Well done Andy once again

A couple of years ago he'd have lost that match but today had the mental strength to come back from the brink against a very powerful talented opponent.

All the best on Friday.

What!? Did Tim Henman win? At last? Brilliant!

SWMBO sent me off to the village Co-op for some odds and sods not long before the final started.  I came back and saw the score was 3 games to 2 in favour of Choccybix (I call him that to annoy her), and asked her if there had been any breaks of service yet.  Turned out she didn't know what that meant, but she told me that Murray was losing because Choccybix had won one more game.

Gave her a little lecture on scoring, breaks of service, etc (didn't go down well, ), and was told to keep quiet.  So I left her to it and went upstairs to watch the match in my study where I could do so without inane interruptions.  Got to love her, but she does drive me mad sometimes ...

Anyway, congratulatons to Andy

Just finished watching the replay. Brilliant. Spectacular final game. Well earned and well deserved.

A good final but maybe not a classic. Murray seemed the more solid of the two, far fewer errors and more ruthless when opportunities arose. Djokovic seemed to be more keen to go for the higher-risk shots earlier in rallies. Drops shots, volleys etc. Didn't always work.

You could really sense the effect of the heat. If it had gone to 4 or 5 sets I suspect it would have been survival of the fittest!

Well done Andy Murray. I think he surprised most of us with a straight-sets win.

The £1,600,000 pay-packet is a nice bonus too.
