What's nServe doing in the iCloud ?

... and nStream, for that matter? These two are showing up on the iPad as applications using up iCloud storage. what exactly are they storing?

backup/settings etc...  If you sync an app to iCloud it is going to take up some space.

You can always turn off the iCloud back-up of specific apps.

It'll only save about 2.0Kb for nStream, mind you.

Does iCloud not store device playlists from Nstream?

Good point. I'd presume so as it's part of the app data.

Thanks for the replies. If the essential function is to backup and sync the application between different idevices, then I don't need it doing that. Playlists are stored on the server, as these are visible from nServe and nStream. Anyway, I've turned off the backup and everything works fine !

Yep, you dont want to waste 7k of data from your 20gig allowance.

Jan,

 

If you turn off the backup, when you "restore from the iCloud" you wont get those apps back on your phone.  Then you will go through the download, install, set-up again.
