Amar G. Bose dies at 83

Sad to hear of a famous founder name passing 

RIP Dr Bose

But like B&O,   Bose never seemed to make it in the world of hifi

He designed some speakers that are still revered in the PA/Club world, awesome bass from what I remember, but coloured & not much treble.

I spent a little time with one of the wave guide (TL loaded) radio/CD players - nice but no thanks 

I appreciate Dr. Bose's drive to innovate.  I still have a pair of Roommate II speakers in a Bose bag.  Not a lot of competitors in THAT space.  Pretty cool playing via 12V from an iPod on the roof of a Jeep.
