Streamer not responding

Posted by: Duffryn on 14 July 2013

My Uniti needs switching on and off every time I use it. It's up to date as is the NStream app. The message I get is Streamer Not Responding and then it can't be found on the network unless re-booted.

Does anyone have experience of this, I would love to know how to cure it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm connecting the uniti wirelessly via a virgin super hub. Basically the uniti drops off the network seemingly randomly.  After which i can no longer ping it from any other devices on the network, and i can no longer access my NAS or internet radio.

All other devices on the network are still connected fine.  I've tried both DHCP and static IP and also a factory reset.  The dropout usually manifest itself as i'm listening to internet radio, and i get a "streamer not responding" message.  Also the factory settings menu shows network status as not ready. a reset of the uniti usually does the trick, after the network is reinitialized every things fine again.

The uniti is using firmware 3.0.0 - is this an issue that has been fixed in pervious versions?
