Digi-out: HDX vs UnitiServe

I know that there are some posts about benchmarks HDX vs US (with digital out) already....
But did somebody test the HDX vs US with some recent firmware? I would be interested in 1:1 comparison between the two (and does it justify the price-gap? :-)

My understanding is the sound quality difference is down to the quality of the power supply. For me the sound from the US was too hard and digital. Going from memory I think now the US can be upgraded but what different this makes I have not heard.

I would find the hdx too expensive if I were going to put a dac on it from the start! However some have suggested that the digi out is best at the hdx better than on the other ns servers and the Userve. Still you can get the ns01 plus Ndac for the price of HDX.

I think I'll go for a 1:1 demo betwenn US and HDX as soon as my dealer has one...
