Here's a thought. This method upgrades your sound to beyond 552 level....

You are probably reading this thread and shaking your head, but a way to improve the sound coming to your ears is simply to 'cup them'.
I know you may laugh at me suggesting this, but the audio acuity differences are phenomenal. No doubt you know this as I can't imagine anyone who has never tried this, but surely if some cheap device (e.g. two cardboard sheets that fit behing the ears and connect to a head band...) can improve the sound quality you hear from your system for simple pennies there is something we are all missing out on!!!
I know, having visitors is a no no, but as the move into 3D TV is due to come and people will bring round their own 3D glasses for a night of entertainment with their mates (and a bottle of wine), surely the cheap alternative of improving the perceived fidelity of music has to be a gap in the market.
Maybe the product will take off on the Dragon's Den??
