Anyone how much I will need to pay for a replacement, bearing in mind the dish is on the chimney stack on a roof with a 55 degree pitch

Sky used to have quite a reasonable fix service of about £65 to get the kit working again, they would replace whatever was faulty and give you three months warranty. Their motive - they need your continued subscriptions to meet their targets.
If you are not a Sky customer it will be a yellow pages job
