Album art work for downloaded music on HDX SSD

Posted by: Prat on 26 July 2013

Good day ladies and gents,

Yesterday I entered the 21st century and downloaded my first ever album.  It was in FLAC format which I converted to wav in DB Poweramp.  I created a new shared folder on my NAS and copied it across.  On the HDX, I went to Manage Shares and there it was - ace!

No album art work though

Is there a secret like the image file name, file size, image size or anything else?  I've tried quite a lot of things like that and re-scanning, refreshing the cache etc.

I also note on the album title line in n-Serve, there is no Edit button to perform a Coverart Web Search.  Is this only available on the music you have ripped on the HDX?

I hope one of the enlightened might be able to advise because I have my eye on some 24 x 192's on HDtracks.

Regards to all

The file should be named folder.jpg and will reside in the same folder and the music files are stored. I would suggest no larger than 500x500 pixels. All music files should be tagged to point at the folder.jpg file. I use the edit tag facility on dBpoweramp for this but I'm sure there are many alternatives.

The latest version of DTC (1.7) gives control over all music which AFAIR was not the case previously. This might be worth looking into.
