More buffering issues

Hi all I decided to make my first purchase on Naim label of the WAV 192htz album they have on there and I can't listen to it without constant buffering.

Unitiqute 2 via ethnet and Mybook live nas drive.

Any suggestions?.

thanks

You should be able to stream 24/192 over ethernet. I do it with a ND5 XS.

Maybe your UPnP server is trying to transcode the files and your NAS doesn't have the processor power to handle it fast enough.

Hi all SI decided to buy some cat5e today and hard wire it from router to uniti. Problem solved I thought but no!  12m of cat5e and it doesn't like it, won't work at all, recognises that everything is connected but fails to connect to nas drive. If I unplug uniti and sit next to router and use 1 meter of cat 5 it works perfict! any suggestions? Cable is sound as I have a cat5 tester!

driving me mad now. Thanks all.

I would have thought there should be no problem with 12m to be honest

Is the 12 metre a cross over or patch, cat5 is good upto 100 metres logic would dictate its the ethernet lead.

I am using 100' of Cat6 (Cat5e works as well) going from an Apple AirPort Extreme in one room to my ND5 XS in another. I have no problems.

Sounds to me like an issue with cable or connectors.

Thanks for all your help guys! Problem now sorted. It was infact the cable but not sure why as all was fine with a line test and the qute Evan registered everything but timed out before playing anything And saying source error.

Thanks Ali

A line tester has to run up in order 1 through 8 if its not in order you can still run into issues
