Looking for something to BLOCK POP UPS

Is it just me that suffers from these bloody annoying pops ups ? Over the last 2/3 months they have been driving me bonkers.

Have looked on Flea bay & Amazon,a few bits of software for sale at very cheap prices BUT most state they work on Windows 98/XP etc all from the stone age.

What do you use ?

Any good suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks

Most browsers have a list of Add ins that cam customise the web world, in Firefox go to the Tools menu and select Add-Ons - there is a wealth of items that can used to customise the Browser.

Many thanks FC and DW for taking the time to reply.

Dont use Firefox but i will later today defo look into it. As regards Adblock i downloaded it yesterday and it has reduced the pop ups but some are still geting thru, only 10 minutes ago a pop up said i could try their dating agency Free for one month. The Adblock couple who designed it do ask you to make a donation(which is fair enough) so i will try it for a month before deciding.

Thanks again to you both.

I'm surprised you're still getting dating pop ups. Since installing Adblock plus I don't get any.

Dating agency popups where the reason I install a popup blocker, it was getting embarrassing. I wasn't too concerned about the mature and Chinese dating popups, but  Geek2Geek was the final straw.

Adblock works with Chrome on OSX too.

I use Chrome on a Mac with no additional plugins and never get pop-ups. Strange.

Mine says it has blocked 78,000+ ads. None on this site BTW.
