HDX MP3 Shadow Encoding

Posted by: Eugene on 11 August 2013

In the Features section of HDX description on Naim site it is written that HDX supports MP3 Shadow Encoding – to "create lower quality MP3 versions of your music for use on iPod/MP3 players". How does this feature work? I didn't find any option to turn it on neither in HDX internal menu nor in NAIM Desktop Client application.

I think you need to be running 1.7a with the same version of DTC, once that's done you choose tools/settings &functions/system settings/ripping/encoding.

MP3's should carry metadata/cover art.
