Google Music

Could not find anything posted about this, but thought it would be of interest.

I have been using Spotify for a couple of years now, using a Sonos ZP90 to stream through the HiFi via digital out to the NDX. Sounds okay for 320 mp3's but will not replace cd/flac files.

I recently signed up for Google Music All Access to compare to Spotify, but my biggest issue was that I had no way of playing any of the tracks from Google through the HiFi. The Spotify/Sonos to NDX combination had that sorted for me, but was stuck for Google.

However, I have just realised that Bubble UPNP for Android supports streaming from your Google Play All Access account to any UPNP device, including the NDX. Genius, works flawlessly (using the paid version) and all your Google music can be played through any UPNP device. It took about 5 mins to sync first time and after that works great.

I had hopes for the updated Android Sonos app to play music from your device, but that is limited music stored locally on your device that was not downloaded through Google Music. A bit limited.

Hope that helps someone.

Cheers
