Is it Ok for me to give this thread a different twist ?

SWMBO was 67  yesterday. I think that qualifies for past its sell by date

Trying to have her replaced with a younger version but she wont go.

+1 Rod.

That show was  full of fantastic characters: Gus, the dissolute Henry, the hypocondriac, permanently furrowed George, snobbish Sally, unethical Damien, Dave the gambler and psychotic Joy.

Having worked in newsrooms (print rather than TV) for most of my adult life I can assure you that these characters are archetypes, they are in every TV and newspaper newsroom.

Must see if it's on DVD.

When my 'better' half reached 60 a few years ago I threatened to swap her for two 30 year olds.  Her reply?  "What makes you think they'd have you?"

The most disturbing such neo-idiom I have heard lately is:

"I'll put some energy on it."  which means, "I'll get right to it."
