HDX SSD 1.7 upgrade

Posted by: A J on 26 August 2013

Good morning

i am having a few issues upgrading to the latest software version. So far I have been able to install the 1.6g no problem and this version shows on both my iPad and pc clients.

My issue arises when upgrading to the second update 1.7a. On completing the first update I I added the disk containing the 1.7a update into the machine.  This appeared to do something and after a short while ejected the disk.  However the software version did not change. I have later tried to turn off the naim hdx ssd for a period of time however this has not resolved the issue.  i then tried to install disk again however after a few seconds this was ejected.  I have then checked the system message section on the PC client displays a message informing that the upgrade manifest could not be found.

Please can someone help me resolve this issue.

Many thanks in advance.

It could be that the iso file is not properly burned onto the CD-R. This is the issue I had.

If you suspect this try Youtube for tutorials on how to do this correctly for your operating system - ie search 'burning iso file to cd in windows 7' or some such on Youtube.

This was the advice I got from Steve Hopkins at Naim and it sorted out my (similar) problem.

And again. Most likely issue at this stage is will be the update CD.
