Unitiqute Can't See Linksys Router Wirelessly?

Posted by: J Saville on 09 September 2013

Equipment is a Unitiqute 1, Linksys ea6500. The Uniti cannot see the Linksys, no funny characters in the SSID on the router. Has anyone run into this issue before with Linksys routers, and if so what was the fix? The Linksys shows up on other devices and can be connected to. Both 2.4 and 5ghz bands are active. Qute has been tested with other routers and works fine.

Cheers,

How far are they from each other? Can you set it up so one is right next to the other (to eliminate signal strength/quality problems).

Are you reporting what the Qute front panel says (in 'setup') or info. from n-stream?

I am attempting to solve this for someone else in a different part of the country. We have narrowed it down a little, switching the router from mixed wireless mode to wireless-g, it sees the router. I believe this has something to do with it not liking wep2. I think the Qute is a 96, which means it is only 802.11g compatible, and I don't think wep2 ws available with wireless-g. If anyone can correct me there feel free.

IIRC, there has been an upgrade to solve this WEP2 compatibility issue at the time of the Qute 96. Make sure the Qute's firmware is up to date.
