N-link cable v USB Interface

I have previously connected my Ipod to my Uniti using an n-link cable. Now having upgraded my system I have the option of using the digital USB interface.

Can anyone advise on the comparative quality issues of each interface and also if using the USB connect are there any specific cable recommendations.

The n-link is an analog interface, so it uses the cheap DAC built into your iPod. The USB is a digital interface, and will send the iPods' digital output to the DAC in your Uniti.
