Vinyl Buyer? British Phonographic Industry Needs You!

Posted by: Simon Drake on 16 September 2013

Hi All,

The BPI - recorded music trade body behind the Brit Awards etc, would like any vinyl buyers to spare 10 minutes to fill out this survey. With vinyl sales almost hitting 500,000 unit sales this year (first time since 2003) it's important for the industry to maintain a grasp of the all important vinyl buyer, so that we can keep the format alive! For anyone interested in the format, I would encourage you to contribute, thanks for your time! Survey HERE: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/K5J8HQH

Happy listening.

Done. Thanks for the heads up.

Some silly questions like 'What's your favourite album cover?' I answered The Beatles 'White Album'. And 'What band typifies vinyl for you? Uh? I answered The Rutles. Otherwise it was a decent consumer survey.

Seconded Steve. The first sensible thing the BPI's done in years. Would be very interested to see the results, and know how the industry intends to act on them.
