Itunes library with n-stream on a NAS.

Hi folks.

My set up is a Unitiqute/B&W Nautilus 805s/WD NAS DRIVE/ iPad/Macbook.

Two questions

1.

Everything works fine, all my ripped and high res files work and sound great and I am very happy with those.

But I have a large collection of Northern Soul, this is still in my iTunes and are mp3 at 340 res.

I have dropped my source music files onto my NAS from my Macbook (just dropped on iTunes music folder), but when I access them in n-stream via iPad, I want a way to use the playlists I already have in i-tunes, can i export this somehow for n-stream to use or so that everything will be arranged as it is currently on my Macbook in iTunes?

Because at the moment, on my NAS all the mp3s are just inside folders of the Artists, so it's pretty useless like that.

Maybe I can do a fresh export from Itunes out to the NAS so that when n-stream accesses these files on the NAS, they will be better organised?

2.

Gonna upgrade the firmware because the one on my unitqute is older.

I have everything downloaded and ready,

Can I go into the Unitiqute from my Macbook, usb to usb at the front?

Or is usb to serial at the back the only way to do the connection?
