Mine too, but can't help thinking it is overpriced.

I really dont like the arrangement where the CDs don't have their own sleeves.

Greetings from New York,

I have only a vague awareness of the long career and various styles that John Martyn played in over his life.    If anyone who knows his work well could point me towards a 4-6 disc CD collection of his work, if such a thing exits, that would be greatly appreciated.  I don't think I am ready for the full on treatment in this completist box set of all of his work on Island records.

I have only his classic Solid Air on LP and a CD collection titled Patterns in the Rain.   Or, if he isn't best represented by collections, perhaps you could recommend your favorite of his many albums?   For context, I would guess I would prefer his acoustic work over any recordings that were more rock oriented and electric.    I am a big fan of Michael Hedges and Van Morrison, both of whom the little bit of John's work I know has reminded me of in parts.

         Thanks,

         Bruce

Ain't No Saint is what you would be after. It's about £20 on Amazon and is a good collection Of his work.

I have considered the new box set but it's a lot of money and I already own a lot  of his best work....
