Splinter - Songs From A Broken Mind

It came this morning, lovely 2 LP set, excellent cover artwork and a nice recording.

It has to be the best thing he's done since Replicas and I'm loving it.

It has a dark slightly somber mood to it, I think all the songs are good with a couple of clear stand out tracks.

Very nice synths, strong vocals and a good structure to the whole album.

Highly recommended (if you like him).

On Planet Rock last night there was an interview with Gary for a whole hour between 8 pm and 9 pm where he talked about his music, what influenced him and chose a few tracks in between. He is a very humble man with a self depricating humour which shows a low self esteem and when describing his new album said it was a very personal set of songs, more so than anything he has ever done. It was a very good interview and glad that by pure luck I stumbled upon it.
