Seconded.

Salisbury are really missing a trick here.
I used to use a NDX/N-DAC/non-Naim XPS. I heard a Squeezebox Touch / S.T. Power Supply / Dac into an amp with SBLS (everything except the S.T. and SBLs were made by the same manufacturer) and was absolutely staggered by the music I heard (with Spotify as the source). Now I own a very similar system (IBLs instead of SBLs) and have no regrets about making the change.
I was a Naim customer for 30 years but cannot see me returning to the fold until there is a bit more of an open mind at HQ. Like it or not, Spotify and the like are here to stay. Naim should acknowledge this and incorporate some more functionality in their streamers. Logitech managed it in a product that cost £140 so there really is no excuse for the omission.

Yes and how many do Logitech build in a year? 100,000+
That is the issue, real world economics!

You have a valid point but there is at least one other UK high-end hi-fi manufacturer that has Spotify available on it's streamers. But I don't understand why Logitech stopped manufacturing their Squeezebox streamers.
Would have thought that the number of untils built is irrelevant.
Look at it from Spotify's perspective. They want every piece of kit to be Spotify enabled as this allows more people to access their service. I cannot imagine that Sportify are charging some exorbitant sum for a licence.
My understanding on the Squeezebox was that it was dropped as it did not fit into Logitech's portfolio of products for the future. A real disappointment as my Squeezebox touch / power supply into a dac is as good to my ears as my old NDX etc as in my post above. Perhaps it's too good for its own good......

You could not be more wrong!

I assume you mean LINN. Well you should check that out, they do not actually have Spotify ON their streaming products…..read their specification closely and you will not see Spotify
Well OK it's not actually ON their product but the control software application is available. This is what it says on the website under control & choose of music:
If you prefer to stick to iTunes, Spotify or whatever you normally use, that's fine too. Download our Songcast app and anything you play will come through your Linn system, letting you enjoy your favourite tunes in Linn quality.

From what I can see Naim seem to be putting their money on Qobuz.

In fact you can do something similar this with Naim players. I use Jamcast on my laptop which streams Spotify to my NDS.

I use my SBT to play Spotify Premium. I do not yet have a Naim streamer or server. I think it is the Logitech Media Server software running on my Mac that serves Spotify to the SBT device using a plugin (provided by Spotify?); I do not think the device itself has any built-in Spotify capability. I see there is no DLNA support from Spotify yet. Surprising! Wouldn't that be the best answer? I guess a plugin for Unity Serve/HDX would be better, potentially.
