Anyone else watch this?

It's great IMO.

No.

Saw the trailer and thought, far to much needless shouting.

Yip. Great stuff. It's similar to Whitechapel, which preceded it but is almost Ripper Street set in the modern day. Similar lead characters played superbly by similar actors. And both magnificent quality productions.

Yes. Very good production. Weren't both lead characters in Spooks playing similar roles in different series?

Agreed, first-rate BBC drama.

And The Ambassadors

Excellent!

An(y) episode of Eastenders, surely?

I really like Ripper Street; it's one of the few TV programmes to entertain me enough so that I don't channel surf while it's on

It's just been binned as audience figures aren't good enough. Citizen Khan has however been renewed for a third season. I don't know what the BBC planners are up to.

I've just started series one - all good so far.

It's a real shame that original stuff like this gets dumped and appalling toss like Britain's Got Ice Dancing Out Of Here goes on and on and on and on (and on)

I can only guess it is cheap to make and fits to get good LCD viewing figures.

What ever happened to production values?
