Arcam rBlink combined with Qute2

Posted by: Celt on 05 November 2013

Hi,

I'm keen to purchase a Qute 2 but have been wondering how best (and with ease) to have wireless streaming functionality for services such as Spotify and being able to control it via either an iPad or tablet. I've now read with great interest about the rBlink that appears to offer just what 'm looking for (I think) provided I use an iPad or tablet  that supports APT-X for the bluetooth technology. On top of it's streaming capabilities, I intend to use the Qute 2 as a central hub to improve the quality of the CD player transport, Humax decoder, and my blueray player.

I'm not holding my breath for NAIM to introduce Spotify or Android device support any time soon; so I figured a Qute2 with an rBlink could be a neat solution. I'm more PC based but I am not anti-Apple; so all options remain on the table.  (Note: I'm also looking to rip my CDs and store onto a NAS. I'm assuming that once the WAV and FLAC files are on the NAS (and even if I used a PC/ DBPoweramp solution rather than a iMac / XLD ripping solution) I'm still able to use an iPad to stream them wirelessly to the Qute2; or not?)

Hope some hi-fi streaming experts on this forum can help shed some additional light ! My thanks in advance.
