playing 192/24 on Naim nDAC via USB

I got to thinking I must download some hires files to see (hear) what all the fuss is about.

I immediately headed for the Linn website and as I perused I came across some test files which I thought I'd download as suggested just to see that my equipment was compatible.

so I downloaded the

24bit 192kHz Free Lossless Audio Codec - FLAC Studio Master(192) test (16.8 MB) file and what is a rather lonesome clarinet played through media money sounds as if it's a duet with a banjo through the nDAC.

Does anyone have any idea what's happening?

OK banjo now gone, firmware issue, I had understood (incorrectly) that the nDAC was on the latest firmware.

so now to sort out something I have on CD to get hi-res to compare.
