Bob Dylan USB

Has anyone bought the Bob Dylan USB ?

If so can we have some thoughts on the quality of the FLAC albums. (I appreciate there is a fair bit to go at but some early thoughts would be good)

Hi Ian

No personal experience but not so good by this small sample at Amazon US:

Wasn't aware this was released.  I had essentially ignored BD for 40 years but started listening about 5 years ago and really enjoy the 20+ releases I have purchased since then.

Wait for the hi res. Mobile Fidelity has been issuing SACD versions of their new remasters, so I'd assume its coming soon eventually.  If the USB is the CD versions as the Amazon feedback seems to indicate, I'd stay far away.

Assume you're not looking for vinyl, but that's the best current option in my opinion - the quality is great on the Mono vinyl reissues from Columbia as well as Blood on the Tracks, the 1 MOFI vinyl I've purchased.

The MOFI 45rpm vinyl reissues are even better, especially Freewheelin and Bringing It All Back Home.

Interesting. On Dylan's official site it first had the USB flac's listed as 24/44.1, now it's 16/44.1.

Must have been a typo error or there's more to come...

Get the MOFI vinyl. It's among the best vinyl I have in my collection... the 45 rpm stuff especially is stunning.
